Bold green is when I did way more than needed for the day and bold red (thank fully still missing) is when I did phenomenally bad.

Today I should've had 20K ... I am at 14K. Only 6K behind, but still...

Story is trucking along nicely though, no real big failures other than the problems I have with the POV.
Soon to be introducing new character =D I'm excited, he should be fun!

For your delight and delactation...

<div class="ljcut" text="Teaser (tiny one) under the cut! This writing thing is brilliant, why didn't I think of that before!?
I grin and begin to answer her questions.
"Ethan, not your ex!" I write on the wall and she blushes a little.
"You heard that huh..." She says a bit ashamed.
"I didn't think so, for the record!"
Okay, so I was making a tax deductable donation to OLL yesterday. Something I try to do because I really believe they're doing awesome stuff and since I found some money I was unaware of in my savings account.

They allow you to make an anonymous donation or by name. Normally I do anonymous because I don't really care about getting my name up on the list of names. But yesterday I was giddy as a git and in the field where they ask "What name do you want listed?" I filled in "He-who-must-not-be-named"

Just for shits and giggles really and to see if they'd do it. And they did! I am so entertained...! xD

So yeah, look for my shout out on the list of sponsors.

And now for your delight and delactation, an excerpt from my novel that I don't completely loathe! I'm starting to get the hang of this first person present tense crap.

“Well…” Julia says, and she seems uneasy. “A while ago… I was sitting at home and… the light the flickered. A lot, not like your standard short circuiting either, they became brighter and then less and then brighter again. Like last night before it shattered…” She explains to Mr. Archangel himself.

Okay, so yeah, that was me. I wasn’t just flashing the lights really, it was a while ago and I’d just figured out this electricity thing and I figured I could send her a message. Though I don’t think she got it, from the sound of it. I even figured out the Morse code and everything! A waste of time really. Then again, not like I’m really wasting time, I have nothing better to do anyway.

“And then there was that message in the mirror of the bathroom. Which everyone thought was just someone playing a joke but…”
“What message?” Micheal asks with a frown. Yeah, so that was a really bad idea on my part. It was another experiment trying to communicate with Jules. One of the last ones. I hadn’t been dead for long and I wrote a message in the condensation of the mirror.
“There was “Hey Julia, I’m in your house.” No the mirror, except the E was missing on the end.” She told Micheal. Yeah, so I should have probably picked my words better when I was writing that, but in my defense, I was going to put something else there but she came out of the shower. And she was naked. And I got … sort of distracted.

What? Don’t judge me, I’m just a guy! Anyone would’ve looked! I can’t help it she doesn’t know I did! Not like I didn’t try!

“And it got so cold, like you know what they say about ghosts…” She hesitated there and cast him a sidelong look. “I know this sounds crazy but after that … it’s never been the same again. I get cold randomly, even in the midst of summer. And I heard a voice one time.”
No, that really wasn’t me. It was one of the neighbors in her old house. It had thing walls and they did funny things at night. Really quite kinky. It wasn’t too long after the mirror message though, so who can really blame the poor girl.
“It sounds crazy, I know, but I really think there’s someone … something following me.”
Did she just – She just called me a ‘thing’. A THING! That’s… even worse than the grandfather thing. I sigh a little weary and lean my head back, staring up at the ceiling. Times like these make it so much harder to be dead.
ULURU. IS . AWESOME .

The trip in general was aweseom. Alice Springs is the best hole in the ground I've ever been to. Camels are awesome. Red rocks Rock! And... Everyone should go on a Rock Tour at some point in their life for it too, is awesome!

So yeah... back after an exhausting but amazing week in Alice Springs.

In a nutshell:

We hopped on the plane monday in Perth at a cool 24 degrees. Arrived in Alice Spring at 16:30 or so in about 30 degree heat. Gt picked up in a rickety old shuttle bus where the idea of air conditioning was opening a window. Got driven down to Toddy's Place, which is a back packers lodge. We got booked into our room which smelled of moth balls and laundry. It was... special. Rented bikes, cruised town, ordered pizza. Sat around, patted the kitty.

Slept badly. Up at 6 am for Rock Tour. SIX AM! ghreoihgroieh! D=
But we were up and ready to roll. Got picked up in another bus. Bob. Rocked on on our road trip that covered 1500km in just 3 days. Australia is awesome that way.
So lots and lots of driving in Bob. Went to King's Canyon. Nearly died there of heat exhaustion and dehydration. But didn't. Save and old lady who was badly dehydrated (pro-tip: if it's 35 degree out, there's no shade, and you're going to be doing stairs and rock climbing for the next 3 or 4 hours, you need more than 500ml of water.) So after playing good samaritan and forking over another half a liter of water to her we returned to Bob for some goo air conditioning and cold drinks. YEY!

To quote Dom (the tour guide): 1000 year old Sharpening Rock used by aboriginals: 'Oh...'. Promise of Gatorade: 'WEEEEE!' "
Why yes... we are shallow teenagers.

Back on the bus more driving. Saw mount Conner. Saw most disguting toilets since Morocco. Gathered fire wood for camp. Rode highway to hell into camp. Made campfire. It was epic. Discussed hte improtance of the Spoon of Respect and Responsibility. Which kept chili from burning. Then ate. Set up camp and slept under stars. Saw fallign stars. Was much awesome.

Slept badly. Up at 5:30am FIVE-THIRTY AM! ghroiehgorieh! D=
Made breakfast, broke up camp. Got on bus. Drove to toilets. Drove more to national park thing. Had really nice hash brown. Went to Olgas. Hiked and climbed a ton. Learned lots about forming of rock and ancient sysmic activity. Walked more. Drank more water that tasted like swimming pool. Walked more. got really hot. Saw awesome views of awesome things. Walked back to Bob. Drove to Uluru. Walked more. Talked about waterfalls that aren't there anymore. Walked back to Bob. Drove to see sunset at Uluru. Had dinner. Rocked out on Bob. Drove back to camp. Made camp fire. HAD SHOWER!! Played camp games. Can pick up 2 inch tall box from ground with teeth without touching the ground with anything but my feet.

Slept fairly alright. Woke up at 4:30 am... FOUR-THIRTY AM! grheoihgoireh! D=
Packed up camp in mere moments. Was held up by other campers not able to be ready in 2 minutes flat. Helped pack Bob. Drove to the park again. Saw Sunrise over Uluru with breakfast. Drove Bob to Uluru. Did 7km hike all before 9am. Back on Bob. Leave national park to head home. Stop at camel farm. Rode camel, trotted camel! Mad fun! Back on Bob. back to Alice Springs.
Check in at hotel after shocking back pakcers by leaving Toddy's in exchange for REAL BEDS and REAL BREAKFAST and SPAS! Had a swim at hotel. went for dinner with group. Was fun. Went back to hotel. Slept like log.

Woke up at 9am HUZZAH!
HAd breakfast. Did museums and historical sights at Alice Springs. Many many nice people. Got tired... took cab back to hotel. Had camel ride at sunset. Much fun to be had. Rode camel named Anna, very pretty... Spa'd it up at hotel. Went for dinner at awesome restaurant. For the first time in a year felt like tipping and did so. Made staff very happy. HAd wander around town. Lots of people yelling and shouting. Went back to hotel. Slept like a log.

Up at 7:30. Packed. Had breakfast. Checked out. Rode awesome taxi of executives ot Airport. Only cost 34 dollars O_o. Got on plane. Turbulent flight home with rough landing. But back in Perth now. Busy uploading all pictures. There's tons!

Home in a week! D= Don't wanna go now, had too much fun this week, wanna travel more! *sad panda*

No cut for you because I R TEH LAZY!

This is our highest award for outstanding service on the intellectual battleground.

The fact that you progressed through this activity neither being hit nor biting a bullet suggests that your beliefs about God are internally consistent and very well thought out.

A direct hit would have occurred had you answered in a way that implied a logical contradiction. You would have bitten bullets had you responded in ways that required that you held views that most people would have found strange, incredible or unpalatable. However, you avoided both these fates - and in doing so qualify for our highest award. A fine achievement!"
Apparently I'm much more clever in all thins spiritual and philosophical than I give myself credit for.
According to the statistics they listed most people get at least one direct hit and one bullet when taking the test.

I'm a bit concerned about how they claim I did not have to bite a bullet, considering I said that, by my logic torturing innocent people was not morally wrong (since without a god there is no base for morality and thus something can't possibly be morally wrong). I would think most people would find that quite incredible or unpalatable.

Of course I don't go around torturing people, because it is morally wrong according to the terms of this society. While I firmly believe the terms of society are based on a completely flawed belief system, there is truth in some of the moral fundamentals that stem from religion and I valiantly accept these. I'm an atheist, not an anarchist.
Morality is one of few things religion has brought into this world that make sense to me, even though various religions have violated these fundamentals more than anyone else in the world in the name of their God. That is beside the point right now... :P

Anyway... take the test, it's quick and simple and pretty nifty and makes you think. Some of the questions are a bit awkwardly phrased and make it hard to determine what exactly they're implying, but you get used to the way they phrase things and then it's a pretty nifty quiz to take. It's not particularly condemning, it just points out where your logic is flawed (if it is).

Nevertheless: good exercise for the philosophical brain.

Battleground God <-- Linky!
http://www.philosophersnet.com/games/god.htm

.

Ex-race horse = back problem

So I'm selling this horse... Which means dealing with some crazy crazy people. I know this. I've sold plenty of horses to know this. From people with a misplaced snese of loyalty to this one horse they lamost bought before ever seeing her to people not buying a horse because it eats trees when there is nothing else to eat. Crazy people! CRAZY!

This thing just reches new levels of stupid though.

This lady emails me asking if the horse raced (something I already told her) and if I've had him vet checked and explains how she has a horse now who she's had for 2 years and recently came up with back problems which she claims are because he used to race.

Yes, you may commence "wtf?"-ing now.

I am patient and kind and tell her that I have no reason whatsoever to believe the horse might have a back problem. He moves well, isn't sore, jumps and moves fine, no tell tale signs whatsoever of any back problems. I also explain to her I've been around horses a long time dealt with numerous horses with back problems, sat in on a million vet checks and that vet checks rarely include back checks beyond a quick overlook for any immediate problems, so if there's an underlying problem, a vet check will probably not pick up on it.

She is still sceptical because she doesn't want another horse with back problems. Which is fair enough

But at this point I wonder wtf for real.

Back problems happen and they're not more common in one sport or another that I know of. They are common around ill fitting tack, after lameness issues, after falls, due to bad conformation and so no and so forth but not after racing...!
It just doesn't add up.

I suspect and hope something got lost in translation and that maybe her chiropractor mentioned something along the lines of "injured a tendon in his racing days and this brought on back problems." Now THAT would make sense.

So I email her asking if this professional (which I assumed she had out to come to this wild accusation in the general direction of the racing industry) she got out mentioned anything about it being common in race horses.
I tell her how to me it doesn't make sense, physiologically speaking as well as experience wise. Racing does a lot of bad things but messing up a horse' back is not on the top of the list for as far as I know. I tell her I'm just curious and want to know how she and her professional came about this conclusion that race horses = back problems. So essentially I ask some critical questions about the whole thing.

I get an email back, saying how his first owner said he had some hind end soreness when she got him out of a paddock in a neglected state and how he knew nothing but canter and stop. She had him then treated for the soreness, put weight on him and he was then sold on a few times before this lady got him and she has now had him for 18 months and NOW he has a back problem.

She had a chiropractor out first who said he had never seen such a stiff horse (stiff...not sore) and decided to take up treatment from a n osteopath to get him right again and is donig a ot of lunging over cavalettis and hill work to make him better.

No where does she explain how he chiro or osteopath decided or mentioned anything about this hailing from his racing days. In fact, aside from the 'never seen such a stiff horse' there is not a word from either of these professionals about how this problem came around. Except that they think it may have happened after a fall or a buck in the paddock.

This ONE horse that she has had for two years now has problems and has a history of being sore in his back end after coming out of a neglect paddock, she is reluctant to buy another ex-racehorse because: Apparently racing ruins their backs. This is a problem which then lies dormant for over 18 months only to be aggravated by a buck or a fall and cause major problems and make them unrideable.

As a cherry on top of the milkshake she seems to expect me to get a chiropractor out to check my horse' back out, at my expense.

This could be me, but wouldn't that be something she should organize and pay for if she wants to buy him. But maybe she should just come and have a look at him and decide if he's even remotely what she's looking for BEFORE expecting me to spend money on investigating the possiblity that she thinks my horse, in the future, long after I sell him, might have a dormant back problem because of his racing days.

More "WTF!?"-ing my commence now.

Okay, so with six more days in the course all that rests me to do is a routine treatment (probably at Kilmore with the trotters, which is fine and I'm not too worried about). Aaand a complex case, which will be an extraction of a molar on this horse. I know which horse it is and it'll be happening on Thursday.

What I'm not too happy about is that we pretty much have had no preparation for this complex case. I mean, we got to watch teacher-dude do some but beyond that we're pretty much thrown in the deepend. To make matters worse, the 'INTENSIVE PRACTICAL TRAINING' has sort of dwindled and dwindled to the point where it's not intensive sitting on our asses pretending to be brainstorming about what type of database we may or may not be using.

Yes. I haven't seen a horse since we got home on Friday. We're having more and more days off where we do nothing and less days where we go out and treat horses. We do a couple, but not much. I feel like I ould be doing 6 or 7 horses a day and really pack on some experience and get some hours in the saddle, but no... instead we're sitting around playing with the computer.

And you know when I'M complainign about playing too much with the computer, something is not right! >.<

Okay... I'm on my period, junk food deprived and feeling ghroihgoirh! So now I had my whine...

Practical on Thursday and then by friday I should be a certified equine dentist *___*
No idea if I'll get that distinction or not, but I might... so fingers crossed!

Treated a horse today with quite a terrible little mouth. Had lacerations almost down to the bone on the gumline. Which was what caused her problems when she was in harnass. The ownr had complained about her pulling her head around to the left when racing which is obviously bad because you need them to be straight.

So after diagnosing that I fixed her teeth right up which comes down to 65 dollars worth of treatment AND then Peter gave me the money for it! HUZZAH!

And then he made me shout lunch... so it's almost all gone, so I was foiled, but still hae 20 bucks left in my pooocket. Which is sweet.
Also getting the tiny-torch-of-win(tm) next week somewhere. Little torch is so awesome and perfect for work... *glee*

Other than that nothing much happened, I'm doing okay filing teeth, have yet to extract anything and aparently we won't get to do much of that until the exam which strieks me as weird O_o; And slightly petrifying. On the other hand not to toot my own horn, but I'm the only one in our little group right now who can actually accurately file the horse' teeth.

Amy is still a bit lost and doesn't know what she's doing half the time. Andrew is still all over te place and a right mess at times (although he's arrogant enough to think he doesn't do shitty jobs... I chose to hold my tongue at that point in the conversation but I think the abrupt silence in the car spoke for itself). So I'm conident I can file a horse' teeth and od a good job, especially after today doing a 16 year old shetland with rock hard teeth and STILL being able to do it. I'm sort of hoping tomorrow's horse is ooold like ... in his twenties! And that us students get to do him and then I'll call dibs and see how I go on it.

Tomorrow we do one horse and then go to this sanctuary park where they have PLATYPUS!!... Platypie? I don't know the plural for platipus!
Anyway, should be fun ^__^
7:30 start though x__X

For the first time in weeks I'm all by myself again!

It's relaxing to be on my own with no one looking over my shoulder or listening to my sick giggling fits over random crap on the internet.

No, no... fear not, it won't last, the boy will probably be back tonight x__X
Anyway... I've plans! For tomorrow anyway... I will go to Doncaster Rd. Grab the tram to Docklands and shop and take touristy pictures until my toes fall off. Oh yes!
And then maybe the Zoo on thursday, which should also be fun... and tomorrow I'll wander and see the important Melbourne sights.

THEN... I don't know... where I was going with this...

Oh right! Then a bit of a winge... I don't like people telling me what to do, especially not on things that are none of their business or that they know nothing about. For isntance I don't mind Peter telling me how to stand when filing the teeth. I do however mind him telling me I should not go back to Perth but straight home instead to start treating horses there.

I don't want to go home earlier, yes, I understand I'll lose some of my dexterity but nothing I won't be able to regain. I appreciate the concern but tell me to go home straight after once more and I will yell at you with lots of violent handmovements and uncouth language. I will stay out my Visa and THEN go home. And I'll bloody start working when I'm good and ready and no sooner.

In that same regard; asking me if I'm going to go up to Brisbane and such, I tell him probably not since I don't have the money as I don't have a job. Then he suggests maybe going up there to work with another dentist that her trained, would give me some extra experience. COOL! Right? Except for the part where I'd have to pay for the ticket to get there. Pay for board and lodging and ... not get paid for working. Did you NOT hear how I said I couldn't afford to go there? So what the hell makes you think I can afford to go there to work for someone and not get paid for it? If I had that kind of money, I'd be going there to be a proper tourist...!

Yes, yes, gain experience blah blah... I can gain experience on my own. And I'd rather do it later and make money from it, than sooner and put myself deeper in debt.

</whine > Tired of people, this break is sooooo needed. I might kill someone if I have to smile and be polite and non-responsive once more.

I wasn't as horrible as I thuoght I would be on the anatomy part... did decent in the physiology part.

Then the questoin about lymph.... now... I studied the lymph bit so hard... and still I drew an utter blank on it! It's like my brain just refuses to accept what it is and what it does D=

I did good on my business plan apparently, which is huge relief as it was a good third of the grade for my theory so ... here's to hoping I didn't fail spectacularly.

The boy is gone for a good chunk of the week. I have the week off too.
So another day spend at the knackery to get filing techniques down. And it was the worst day yet. x__x

They were doing a ton of horses, because it's a monday and they're clearing out or something so they were quite fast with the turn out and stuff. But it's was... just... awful. George can't hoot worht shit and we got to see the killing today, not that we wanted to but when you hear a loud bang and horses freaking out whether you want to or not you turn around to see the second one get shot =/

Anyway.. .aside from that... did alright, filing went pretty good except I bugger my knee getting up, twisted it or something so tat hurt like a bitch and effectively stopped me from crouching down again and continuing my work D=
I was quite upset about that, there were tears because I was feeling like shit already (I think I caught a cold or something.. or swine flu) so I had a massive headache, the whole knakcery experience was just terrible today AND buggered my knee something awful.

After we got home I had a bit of lunch (sushi!) and then went for a good long nap while stoned by painkillers, feeling much better now but am now just annoyed I didn't get to finish the teeth on the horse head...

Anyway! Before I broke myself, Peter took some pictures of us working dilligently on our bloody patients. So for those with a macabre fascination I'll post some. I'll post them from least bloody to most bloody so if you feel it's getting too much, it'll only get worse.

They're not TERRIBLE, in fact the pictures make it look a lot cleaner than it really is in the knackery, and there's no pictures of the carcasses, just the heads... weak stomached people might not wanna look though...

Me in action!

Andrew in action, and me holding the head steady for him.

Me in action again!

Okay, first shot of the day and I look like I'm about to vomit, but really.. it's my srs face because THEY'RE HEAVY! D8

"Oh come on you guys, gather round! This one is for on the certificate!"
God, I hope he's kidding...

A bit more gory... that's the masseter muscle you can see! And the buccinator.

"We're laughing because it sucks so much! ^_____^; "

Now we're laughing because Peter was actually being hilarious. He was dicking around the whole time and suddenly was like "Oh right! I should pretend to teach you guys on camera! Here amy, take a picture!"

Feeling the teeth.

First head of the day... it was still warm >.>;

Andrew sexually harrassing Amy.

Srs bizniz.

Probably one of the goriest pictures in the lot... we took this one apart irst and then filed, so more flood and bits... >.>

And our "We're having so much fun! >.>; " faces

And I think that's all.

Charming eh? Now imagine this... while rubbing a raw bloody steak over your nose (just for the smell) and then breathe in some methane and imagine that steak oozing thick blood and still being slippery and warm and fatty... Oh yes...

The pictures don't half convey what it's really like, in fact, the pictures make it look really clean and tidy!

Tomorrow we go up north, I probalby won't be around until friiiday.

I filed my first horses today! =DD

I'm all sorts of happy and gleeful, it's really hard and tiring and my back is killing me and I think my knees might wanna have a word with me tomorrow but weee! It was awesome!

After being stood up by the first client (hurhur) we ended up at this small racing stables to do a few horses. I was first up to have a go and having only had some minor practice on a dead horse up until now I was all "D8 I'm gonna hurt him!"
But he was all sorts of gorgeous and stood perfectly still for me, he was really patient and an excellent study for me. Didn't need a lot of work done, just the medial edge of the 3 arcade and the caudal edge of the 2 arcade taken off and the corners of the mandible 06s </jargon>.

... Sorry. I have to practice my jargon or Peter will have a scowl at me.

Anyway! I figured I'd only get to do the one horse and Amy and Andrew did one too and then they brought out this awesome palomino quarter horse stallion (at a racing stables mind you) and I got to treat him! *glee* He had terrible serrations and hooks on the maxillary 06s, so needed quite a lot of work done. He was good too, a bit more of a headtosser than the first so I got smacked to and fro a bit but it was all good.
But with so much filing I got tired real quick of course, and Peter (Dentist guy) finished it all of (as with the first horse) .

I'm still exited though because yeah... okay, I'm awkward and half the time don't know where I'm filing or am just plain lost in the mouth, I did manage to at least get most of the arcades done, at trust me when I say that's a lot harder than it seems. Because of the technique that's involved and how to hold the horse' head and handel the files, especially the off-side (right side) of the horse for me because I'm left handed is really awkward and hard to reach but I managed to at leat get the files onto all the arcades and did some filing though the near-side (left side_ is easier than the off-side...

Still pretty proud of myself though, I now just need a lot of practice and work but I can do the file-y bits of this course! =D
Totally worth the early (6:30am) start!

Now to study! Because apparently we have a test on the 14th or so... theory exam. And for those wanting to know... I don't suck as much as I feared. I know as much as the other students, and we all fail at anatomy and yeah... no ass-making out of myself.

<3 for all the kind words though! You guys all rock my socks off! <3

Knackery.

So, we went to the knackery today. Not as early as we'd all feared, it got pushed back to like 11-ish.

Went up there, the place looked... awful. Rickety fencing, all gravel, old cars everywhere... the place was a dump, a shit hole. A bunch of ponies were on one paddock, a bunch of yearling tortters and some old ... really old horses in the other paddock, one with a swayback that would put the alps to shame...

Anyway! Ponies all around and then we put on gum boots and grab the gear, head up to the door and BAM! Three horse carcasses and a whole heap of intestine next to the door. Que flinching and cringing. Amy (co-student) turned quite pale at this point. We head back in, just in time to see one of the knackery dudes hack out the tongue, larynx/pharynx of a horse' head. Oh yummy...

Of cours guys at the knackery got to have their fun so the gory bloody head got flung up on a table with much bravado and some blood spatter. We stand around a bit before we get to the actual ... touchy feely stuff.

I got respite for starters, the other students got the first go, which almsot made Amy vomit. Andrew held up longer but later confessed he almost threw up a couple of times. Which makes me the only one out of three that didn't have gag reflexes during the whole visit.

Anyway, felt up the teeth of the first dead head a bit, which was... strange and slightly disgusting becuase it's all gooey and soft and ... cold! That's probably the weirdest thing that it's all cold and icky. But yeah, I held my own, got my arm up in there despite the blood dripping from the nostrils and globs of ... bloody goo falling to the floor... yum yum.

Then we cut off the skin from it to have a better look at the teeth. We aged it at late 25-30-ish, a really old one that... had two fractured teeth o nthe upper arcades, which was quite interesting, they were almsot identical! It was so weird, when you feel it it just feels like there's not tooth there, just feed packing... Anyway!

I got the wonderful job of handling the skull and extract on of the fractured teeth... of course nice and easy with the head flipped upside down on the table so I had aaaall the access in the world to do it, and still it was hard as hell. And the sound of theteeth being extracted really grinds my nerves, it's slightly ... no... not slightly... largely disgusting to hear it all break and crack away...
But! I got it done and the other pieces weren't nearly as disgusting to do.

And then you turn around and then suddenly sort of out of nowhere! A dead horse appears... and it's getting skinned and gutted and cleaned and D=
Not as bloody as it sounds, lots of water involved, so not much blood or any of that, got mostly washed away right away... but still... it's a bit disturbing. But that too you get used to. And then another three horses got done right infront of us... though I luckily never heard the actual killing. Then some more teeth poking which was more interesting because by then I'd gotten over the "EW!" effect and got to do some proper feeling in and try and diagnose a few things which is a LOT harder than I'd ever thought it would be... but I'll get the hang of it, considering it's like... the second horse I've palpated I did alright... I managed to feel the peranent 08s growing in! I was all proud of myself... Although I got all the deciduous 'caps' wrong... ANYWAY!

AND! Then there was some dissecting of muscles and ducts and stuff, which was interesting enough. I think that's where Andrew got squeemish because he had to take off the skin and basically kept turning away and gagging... he almost threw up on me apparently, which luckily never happened.

Then some more age identifying, which was terrible because I was way off the mark.... and then it suddenly got really fucking cold and ... luckily we were winding up because rigor mortis had well and trully set i so the jaws of most horses wouldn't open anymore... blegh.
